New song “Overwhelmingly Positive” june 3

That Darn Racket returns June 3 with “Overwhelmingly Positive,” the first original single (after the well-received cover of Ginuwine’s “Pony” last fall) dropping on all streaming platforms, and the video premiering the same day on YouTube.

“Overwhelmingly Positive” is a song about trying too hard to be okay—smiling too wide, saying you're fine, and ignoring everything you should be working to solve. It’s the very American exhaustion of toxic positivity.

It’s also the title track from That Darn Racket’s upcoming album, Overwhelmingly Positive, tentatively set for release this July. The video builds on that theme with a surreal visual spiral—bright and increasingly unstable. Saturated with contradictory emotions, OP captures the inner violence of pretending you're doing super (thanks for asking!) when you're not.

June 3. “Fine” sounds way better than it should.
