“Overwhelmingly Positive” wins Best Music Video @ AIFF

I am not used to winning things based on stuff I make. Often, what I make is downplayed to avoid “that person with the opinion that isn’t fun” from getting any traction. I point out things that are not exciting or validating and are agnostic to political “sides.” I see art as Fancy Communication, and I see editing and choice to be the “true” creativity. I think AI can’t replace people and is thus an amazing tool waiting to be used creatively.

This was exciting to win something that I have no “in” at, though. I am just some random person as far as anyone there was concerned. It’s honestly an excellent feeling just to make something I consider cool to the best of my ability and win something with it.

I don’t want to write a long post here, but I do want to ask you to listen to the TDR album on Spotify or watch the video on YouTube. I’m really proud of it and I think it’s a lot of fun.
